This was my first relief print ever. I carved it in while living in Johannesburg and printed it at ArtistProof Studio. The figure, Wizdumb, is a metamorphosis of a formerly enslaved individual who jumped off a slave ship only to survive and morph into an ancestral metsi being (metsi means water in seTswana).
